When you need to pack nutrients in and don't have time or interest in chowing down a big salad, a smoothie is a good alternative.
Most of these are meals, so don't treat them like a standard beverage. All of these contain the dark leafy greens Caps need for optimal health!
For each recipe, put the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and frothy.
Kale-Apple: 3/4 cup chopped kale, ribs and thick stems removed, 1 small stalk celery, chopped, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup apple juice, 1/2 cup ice, 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice.
Spinach, Grape & Coconut: 1 cup seedless green grapes, 1 cup packed baby spinach, 1/2 cup ice, 1/4 cup coconut milk.
Tropical Green Smoothie: 1 cup packed baby spinach, 1 cup coconut water, 1/4 cup mango, 1/4 cup pineapple, 1 banana.
