As one of the most intuitive signs of the zodiac, Pisces heightens our perception and dreams when its energy is full. Now, consider the upcoming full moon in Pisces on September 13, 2019 at 9:33 pm PT—an intuitive full moon landing smack dab in the middle of the go-getter (and logical) Virgo season.

Typically, the dedicated Virgo energy during this season helps us harness our ambitions in order to create plans. But during this moon, that logic won’t help you find your answers. Instead, sensitive Pisces will ask you to look to your subconscious, and let the truth come to you from within.

Hence, dreams! And since Pisces is Virgo’s opposite sign, this lunation is a perfect opportunity to bring us back to balance. Take a break from lists and spreadsheets and get your creative juices flowing. Give yourself permission to feel, to breathe, and to rest. Allowing messages to come to us makes this full moon a great time for dream work.

Dream Magic Ritual for the 2019 Pisces Full Moon

Ruled by Neptune, Pisces is the sign most associated with the subconscious, intuition, and healing. To make the most of this mystical energy, do a ritual that connects you to and supercharges your dreams. Dream magic is a wonderful way to get in touch with the inner self that you have trouble accessing in the constraints of the regular world, and help you tune in to any cosmic downloads that the universe might be sending you.

Start by smudging your bedroom with sage or palo santo. If you can, open a window to facilitate any stale energy leaving while fresh energy wafts in.

Next, draw a bath to cleanse any negativity that has been clinging to you over the past month. Add a couple drops of lavender oil; it’s a great way to soothe anxiety and prepare your mind for rest. As you rest, try and let you conscious mind rest… thoughts flowing freely.

As you dry, drink a tea made with Valerian or Mugwort. These herbs are known to both promote deep sleep, and assist in lucid dreaming.

If you have a mantra or goal you’ve been working with, repeat it three times as you fall asleep. Now rest and let your unconscious mind do the work! Make sure to put a journal and pen next to your bed so you can record your dreams when you wake up, including as much details as possible. Tracking your dreams over time can be an important resource for understanding your mental state and connecting with your intuition.

And while you sleep, you might want to make moon water. Leave a glass of water in the moonlight to infuse it with an energetic charge. To boost and customize your ritual, you can put a crystal in your drinking water and let them charge together for a magical beverage you can drink the next day. Rose quartz, citrine, or clear quartz are all great options (not all crystals are safe to put in drinking water, however, so be sure to check first).
