That’s because sex connects you to your creative power. Through sex, you can harness the power to create another human life, and you can harness that same power to create the life you want.

Sex stimulates your second chakra, where your reproductive organs and creative energy is held, and sex stimulates all of you. It clears your energy, opens you to the world, and connects you to everything.
When you orgasm, you are sent into an altered state of consciousness. Like deep meditation, orgasm stimulates the prefrontal cortex of your brain, and also like meditation, orgasm helps you experience the union between your body and soul. By embracing this altered state and its powerful release of energy, you can manifest your deepest desires.

Here’s how you start to work this magic:

Start all on your own. (Sex magic works with a partner, but when you’re just starting out, I advise working this magic solo.) Ditch your sexual fantasies and any visual aids. Allow this to be about connecting with your body and your soul and the universe. Approach yourself with genuine love and care. Know that your body is beautiful and that just by being alive, you are a powerful source of magic.

As you begin, set this intention: With this, I work to fulfill my highest purpose.

Now, say this in your mind or out loud:

With my sexual power, I call in [insert what you want].
With all my energy, I call in [insert what you want].

Repeat these words over and over again until right before you orgasm. Then, say: With all of me, I receive [insert what you want].

Repeat this, eliminating the phrase “with all of me,” until you are finished.

This is very potent sex magic ritual can be used to help attract whatever it is you want in your life, but there are some things to keep in mind.

Keep it simple.
Don’t ask for everything all at once. Focus on one thing you want to attract and be mindful with your intention. For instance, if you want to attract your soul mate, figure out what that means to you. We have many soul mates. Some soul mates are lovers. Some are partners. Know what you really want to attract and make sure that you are clear about what it is that you want. If you aren’t really sure what you’re asking for, the universe will have a hard time helping you get it. Setting the intention to fulfill your highest purpose is a good safety precaution to make sure that you don’t attract something harmful, and don’t be afraid to ask for the same thing again and again.

Honor your energy. 
In the above directions, I used the words “call in.” This word choice is best if you want to receive something like your ideal partner or ideal work. But ultimately, you want to choose the words that best fit the flow of your sexual energy. Some energy is receptive. Other energy is giving. When receptive energy is dominant, you want to work your sex magic by calling in and receiving what you want. When giving energy is dominant, you want to call forth and release what you want. For this, you can simply substitute the words “call in” with “call forth” and “receive” with “release.” Generally speaking, feminine energy is receptive, and masculine energy is giving. But the same person—regardless of sex or gender—may easily work with both of these. For example, I identify as a woman, and while I mainly work sex magic that calls what I desire toward me, I will also use sex magic to release love in the world and give to others. Trust the words that bubble to the surface with any given request. Those are the ones that are right for you in the moment.

Let it flow
Don’t be surprised if this feels different than your typical sexual experience, and don’t get frustrated if it takes longer than usual. This is not about a quick release of sexual energy. You’re harnessing your energy and the power of the universe to make magic. Often the pre-orgasm build up can take longer and feel more intense than when you’re not working magic. This is to be expected. Trust it and let it flow.

Do no harm.
Do not use sex magic (or any magic) to control or manipulate other people. First and foremost, make the commitment to do no harm, and infringing on another person’s free will is harmful. Trust me on this one. The world is a better place when you are free and respecting other people’s freedom.

Invite your partner.

When you feel comfortable and confident working this magic on your own, feel free to invite a loving partner to join you. Sex is a beautiful way to connect and share your body and soul with someone you love. While I imagine sex magic also works between two people who don’t love each other, I don’t recommend it. This work is intensely intimate and vulnerable. You want to make sure you’re with someone who truly has your back.

Now that you know these basic guidelines, feel free to play and experiment and work your magic! Make this your own. Drop the words and feel your way through your intention and toward what you want. And if what you want is an orgasm, don’t be afraid to ask for it! One last thing, magic often works by giving us what we really need to get us where we want to be. You may not be ready for exactly what you asked for. If that’s the case, the magic will work by leading you toward the next steps you must take to ultimately receive what you want.
